Welcome to our CSA
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture , an idea being around since the early 1960's ,
and now popular in Canada , the US , all over Europe and Asia , where they were first created in Japan.
Partnering with a CSA consumers will know , where their food comes from .
It will be fresh , the negative ecological footprint of long haul transport being avoided .
Subscribing to a weekly CSA box assures the farmer , that her or his products are sold at harvest and
allows to concentrate on quality rather than quantity .
You are also invited to subscribe to our web store .
To join you may open an account with a first deposit , we will inform you about what's available per e-mail
and you order as you like - it will be debited automatically .
You will be able to access your account , see your deposits an debits , add to or withdraw your balance .
We accept PayPal , Credit Card but prefer E-transfer.
An auto - pay option will also be available .
Should you be unhappy about any item ,don't hesitate to let us know - we'll do our best to put it right as we want to learn
to do a good job. For cancellations we ask you to give us one week ahead .
This year we will start offering only 30 CSA box subscriptions but grow for more than a 100 , so
plenty will be available via our store .
A CSA box subscription runs for 18 weeks from mid June to mid October , the price for a box will be around 28 $ / week .
You may also see our produce at the Moncton's Farmers Market .
Pick up and delivery points will depend on mutual agreement .
Our vegetable operation is certified organic by ACO , ' Atlantic Certified Organic ' .
Eggs , chicken , turkeys and lambs are not yet organically certified but produced and raised
as close to the standards as feasible .
Girasol is a small farm in Kent County , feel free to visit ( let us know in advance so that we can keep
our two playful dogs under control )
We will not refuse any help in planting and harvesting if someone should have the desire to touch real soil . :
